Epidemic encephalitis (lethargic Ekonomo's encephalitis)

The article deals with history, etiology, epidemiology and pathomorphology of the epidemic Ekonomo's encephalitis. The clinical picture of the disease flow in children and adults, acute and chronic stages of the disease, diagnostics possibilities, differentiate diagnostics, treatment and prevention are described. Author pays attention to psychological disorders under the disease. The clinical case of chronic epidemic encephalitis is introduced by authors.
