Neuropharmacological approaches to treatment of asthenic syndrome in general medical practice

In the present paper modern aspects of psychosomatic pathology and neurosis development, its relation to
stress, particularly in "manager's syndrome" have been observed. Attention is paid to asthenic syndrome as one of typical clinical feature of neurosis and psychosomatics, its pathogenesis and criteria of drug choice for its treatment.
Expediency of nootropic drugs application for this purpose has been grounded, it may be used as an instrument of pharmacotherapeutic and pharmacoprophylactic strategy. Mechanisms of action, pharmacological effects and clinical possibilities of drug vincamin (Oxybral), as an optimal choice of drug with strong and balanced antiasthenic, psychostimulated, nootropic and vasotropic action have been studied in details in order to treat asthenic syndrome of different form of pathology in general medical practice.
