Modern aspects of treatment of vertebrogenic painful syndromes

Objective – to study the efficacy and safety of non steroid antiinflammatory medication Etol Fort application in
patients with chronic vertebrogenic lumbosacral radiculitis. Examination of 60 patients with chronic vertebrogenic lumbosacral radiculitis (40 male and 20 female) aged 35 to 65 (average age is (41.3 ± 5.6) years) has been carried out.
Patients were divided into two groups. Main group included 40 patients (30 male and 10 female), among them 25 had radicular syndrom, 15 suffered from reflex syndrom. All patients were administered Etol Fort 400 mg twice a day during 3 weeks. Control group inluded 20 patients (10 male and 10 female) among them 12 had radicular syndrom, 8 suffered from reflex syndrom. Patients from the control group were administered traditional therapy accompanied with B vitamines. Visual analoque scale was used for objectification of painful syndrom and estimation of therapy efficacy.
Comparaed to the control group 16 main group patients demonstrated therapeutic effect in a week from the
beginning of the treatment with Etol Fort. 32 patients had the same results in 2 weeks. Two patient from the control group could not complete treatment because of side effects of «classic» therapy. Estimation of Etol Fort application efficacy demonstrated positive influence on patients with vertebrogenic painful syndromes. Medication provides with anesthetic effect at acute vertebrogenic lumbosacral radiculitis exacerbation. Etol Fort has no side effects for cardiovascular system during 3 weeks treatment course.
